Matt Wins Over The WI as Part of Great British Menu
Former executive chef of The Lawns at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa in Wirral wowed the judges when he made his debut on BBC 2's Great British Menu and the local Women's Institute were among his biggest supporters.
The Lord Clyde's Ernst van Zyl at L20 Hotel School
The Lord Clyde's chef Ernst Van Zyl put students at Hugh Baird College’s L20 Hotel School through their paces when he played guest chef for the evening. My personal highlight was the celeriac and fennel starter with Blacksticks Blue cheese and hazelnuts.
Ernst owns, runs and cooks at The Lord Clyde in Kerridge, the only pub in Cheshire to hold three AA rosettes and one of only four North West properties to be included in the Top 50 UK Gastropub’s list 2016.

EuroHostels Takes Over Hoax
At the end of 2015 EuroHostels became the newest 'hostel operator' In Liverpooll as they took over the former Hoax site. A knock-out launch party put them firmly on the map and media reviews are ongoing.
Food Blogger with an Eye for the Wow-Factor
Local food blogger Coco Cami reviewed Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa's new tapas brasserie for me in the summer of 2015. Her photos were such a firm favourite that the hotel has made them their official shots too.
Elfs, Bedding & Selfies - what a combo
The #selfiewithanelfie photoshoot at The Vincent Hotel had Plume's photographer in stitches - they really got in the zone and put themselves to work around the hotel too.
I launched #selfiewithanelfie as The Vincent Hotel's Christmas social media campaign in 2014 with this great fun photoshoot. If you took a #selfiewithanelfie you were in for a treat!
Sensory Afternoon Tea Goes with a Bang
A fun way to keep Southport press interested in The Vincent Hotel - the launch of the hotel's first sensory afternoon tea to coincide with the British Musical Fireworks Championship was a big hit. A fireworks soundtrack accompanied a specially design limited edition afternoon tea complete with sparkler. That's creative news creation.
Cooking for Geeks
I launched the second edition of Cooking for Geeks to the UK's food blogger community in the run up to Christmas 2015. A short notice campaign, I made sure this quirky book, which combines science and food, was a firm favourite with more than 30 bloggers in a five week period.
Ameriesko's late license and pool table
The Great British Menu kitchen
Such was chef Matt Worswick's excitement at being in the BBC 2 Great British Menu kitchen, he took endless snaps to keep me in the loop. Super proud PR moment.
Scallops to Launch the Summer Menu
This image sums up the new Summer menu at The Lawns (2014) . These images, taken by the very talented Deana Kay, were pivotal in securing a menu launch in the Liverpool Echo and have been used far and wide since.
VIP suits AND hostels
This is one of the VIP suites at EuroHostels in Liverpool and a big part of what captured people's interest when the brand arrived in the city. Beauty bars, hardwired GHDs, USB ports, music TV AND roomy lounge areas made the suites a big hit!
Another review of Cooking for Geeks - lovely!
